About Me & My Photography

Hello!! This is my very first blog and I'm super excited to add this part to my business! I'd like this to be a more personal way for me to share my sessions and talk about the experience we had.   To start off I thought I would tell you a little blurb about me and how I got to where I am! I'm a Kansas based Photographer, I should also say I am not a full-time photographer. I am a Full time Ultrasound Technologist, so I guess you could say I'm a "Photographer" in health care! Being a women of many talents my most gratifying job is with my two so very lovely little girls that I adore beyond words. Ava Rose & Audra Claire.. As much as I would like to say they are the reason for me to finally pursue my photography it really goes back to my interest in Art.  I would say this was the catalyst for my ever growing love in Photography. I do want to point out that my girls inspire me everyday! and I feel so blessed to  photograph them in each phase of their lives!  I am a photographer that likes to catch the realness of people, I typically don't do too much with indoor sessions... YET! I just really enjoy outdoors, the noises, the smells, and the lighting is something you cannot duplicate! It also really allows me to explore and it gives me a much bigger creative outlet.  I get such a sense of excitement when I'm on a shoot. I love the idea that I'm not just taking a picture but I'm capturing emotion in fleeting moments and making them last for forever. Every session makes me eager for the next, every picture is my next favorite! Before a session I begin a creative vision.. I like each and every one to have their own unique style.  I'm also open to what my clients would like to see.. this is why photography is so beautiful to me.  Never once will any one photo be the same as the last. I take a lot of pictures on a shoot.. and I mean A LOT, but I rarely fall in love with them all.  In a minutes time span I will have the one second that is the perfect moment in my vision.  I have been so very blessed to have an amazing family who has really helped me along this journey, they truly support me in my passion for photography. I look forward to the opportunity for me to share my passion of art with you and become a piece in your very precious memory preservation.
